Keyboard shortcuts
There are many keyboard shortcuts to help you get around in a VoiceThread more quickly. Any time you have opened a VoiceThread, these shortcuts will work.
- Space bar – Play or pause the VoiceThread
- Down arrow – Advance to the next comment
- Up arrow – Go back to the previous comment
- Right arrow – Advance to the next slide
- Left arrow – Go back to the previous slide
- = (equal sign) – Zoom in
- – (dash) – Zoom out
- . (period) – Open the postcard viewer (to see all slides in the VoiceThread)
- R – Begin recording a microphone comment
- T – Begin recording a text comment
- V – Begin recording a webcam comment
- P – Begin recording a phone comment
- U – Begin uploading an audio or video file comment
- Delete/Backspace – Delete the current comment
- E – Edit the current comment
- M – Reveal/moderate the current comment (if Comment Moderation is enabled)
- Esc. – Cancel your current comment recording if you have not yet saved it
- Enter – Save the comment you just recorded
- [ – Decrease comment playback speed
- ] – Increase comment playback speed
